KALEO RETREATS
Christian Wellness Retreats For Women
God's pace is slower than ours, and when we align ourselves with His rhythms, we find peace and rest.
John Mark Comer
Helping women return to God's design so they can flourish in every area of life.
KALEO creates space for women to slow down, reconnect with God, and rediscover what it looks like to live connected to ourselves and the way God designed us - mind, body and spirit.
You may look like you are doing well on the outside, but internally you feel the distance between the life you are living and the life you were created for.
For the woman who knows there is more and is craving a deeper connection with herself, God and others.
You are grateful for the life God has given you, but long to slow down long enough to truly enjoy it.
You are building, creating, serving, leading, and loving the people around you, but beneath the busyness of everyday life, there is often a quiet longing..
To hear God's voice more clearly.
To live more connected to your purpose.
To feel more present and grounded.
To have a clear vision for your life.
To care better for your mind, body, and spirit.
To experience meaningful community with people who share your faith.
To slow down long enough to truly feel God’s presence.
To release the past and know God’s direction for your next season.
You were created for connection.
Connection with God.
Connection with yourself.
Connection with others.
And sometimes, we simply need space to remember what that feels like.
KALEO creates intentional space to slow down, reconnect, and rediscover the way God designed you to live.
We believe God created us with rhythms that lead to flourishing.
Rhythms of rest.
Rhythms of worship.
Rhythms of nourishment.
Rhythms of movement.
Rhythms of community.
Rhythms of stillness.

KALEO: to be called
The Greek word kaleō (καλέω) appears frequently in the New Testament of the Bible and means "call".
It comes from the heart of Scripture, where God calls His people—by name, with purpose, and into deeper communion with Him.
KALEO means to be called, but this calling is not about what we do—it’s about who we already are in Christ. We are chosen, known, and deeply loved.
Being with God is where our souls find true rest.
In Jesus, we find the freedom to lay down our burdens, stop striving, and simply be. At KALEO, we create sacred space where you can come back to this truth—where your soul is reminded that rest flows from who you are as God’s beloved.
Whether you’re weary, burned out, or simply longing for more of God’s presence—you’re invited to return to the Source of your strength and remember who you are.
2 Timothy 1:9- He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace.
Whether you’re walking through grief, burnout, transition—or celebrating a milestone, birthday, or fresh beginning—you’re invited to step into a sacred space where your soul can exhale.
Every season brings something different. Some are heavy with heartache. Others are full of beauty and becoming. And sometimes, it’s both at once. No matter where you find yourself, God meets you there—with just what you need.
When life feels overwhelming, our nervous system stays on high alert—wired for survival, not peace. And even in seasons of joy, our bodies often need time to slow down and fully receive. Over time, the constant swirl of emotions and demands can leave us feeling disconnected and weary.
That’s why we need spaces set apart. Places where we can breathe again. Where our minds can quiet, our bodies can rest, and our spirits can remember what it feels like to simply be. God never meant for us to live in panic—He designed us for peace.
This is the heart behind our retreats: to offer a Christ-centered, supportive space where you can find rest, regulation, and renewal. A space to reconnect with your body, your story, and your Savior—no matter what season you’re in.
I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. John 16:33
Our beliefs, teachings and experiences are rooted in Scripture, Jesus centered and Holy Spirit led
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
Matthew 22:37

Mind
What we think on shapes our life and meditating on the truth sets us free. Our mental health is a critical part of our overall wellbeing. Every retreat experience has a mental health and therapy components and education woven into the journey.
Romans 12:2: "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will".
-

Body
Connecting with our bodies grounds us in the present, helps us to move through hurt, anxiety and trauma, and helps us grow in confidence and self awareness. Every retreat experience will incorporate moving and connecting with our bodies. All our meals will be prepared using all unprocessed, healthy ingredients and will include nutrition education.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NIV Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
-

Spirit
The anchor and foundation for our well-being is in our relationship with Jesus. Our existence and identity finds purpose in His plans and design for our life. His presence gives peace, rest and vision for our future.
Ephesians 2:10: "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them"

Sabrina Joseph
Founder of KALEO | Retreat Curator
For over a decade, Sabrina has been curating transformational experiences—from producing large-scale events for global leaders like John Maxwell, TED, and Passion, to running her own event company that brought vision to life through intentional gatherings. But the most meaningful invitation she has received didn’t come from a stage—it came from the quiet voice of God, calling her into deeper healing, wholeness, and a new mission.
With 8 years of ministry leadership and current theological training at Dallas Theological Seminary, her foundation is rooted in Christ. And yet, it was through walking out her own healing journey—through trauma and breaking generational patterns—that she realized the Church often lacked a space for whole-person wellness. She longed for a place that integrated spiritual depth with holistic care, but all she found was new-age answers.
So, she followed the prompting to create what I couldn’t find: KALEO. A sacred space for women to realign with God, restore their minds, bodies, and spirits, and rise into their Kingdom calling.
Today, she is passionate about seeing the army of God rise—strong, healed, and whole. KALEO is more than a retreat; it’s a movement to help women live anchored, Spirit-led lives with rhythms of rest, renewal, and purpose.

Rachel Turner
Hormone Health Coach | Gospel-Centered Teacher
Rachel Turner knows firsthand that true healing is rarely found in a “quick fix.” In her early twenties, she battled panic attacks, anxiety, people-pleasing, painful periods, and persistent breakouts—challenges that led her to dig deep into the root causes of physical and emotional dysfunction. Through prayer, research, and a lot of trial and error, Rachel discovered that real wellness is about stewardship—not just of our bodies, but of every part of our lives.
Today, she is passionate about equipping women to move beyond one-size-fits-all solutions and instead embrace a holistic, Gospel-centered approach to health. She believes that Jesus meant it when He said He came to give us life abundant, and that abundance touches every area of our being—physical, emotional, mental, relational, and spiritual.
Rachel holds certifications as a Hormone Coach, Christian Health Practitioner (CHP), and Fertility Education & Medical Management (FEMM) Instructor. Her teaching is anchored in the belief that our bodies matter to God, and that healing often begins when we invite Him into every layer of our wellness journey.
She lives in Sumter, South Carolina with her husband, new baby Cross, and their beloved chocolate lab, Grizzly.

Lindsey Merrick
Leadership Team | Hospitality | Community Lead
Lindsey Merrick first came to Kaleo as a retreat guest in a season of deep personal challenge. Searching for a women’s retreat that put Jesus at the center—not just as a mention, but as the foundation—she found Kaleo. That weekend changed everything. What started as a leap of faith became a soul-level transformation: deep rest, sacred sisterhood, and spiritual renewal.
Now serving on the leadership team, Lindsey brings both personal experience and professional excellence to every retreat. A former K–8 school principal turned business executive, she now embraces life at home as a homeschooling mom with a heart for hospitality, healing, and wholeness.
Lindsey is especially passionate about nourishing the body with good things God placed on the earth—real food, rest, movement, and rhythms of grace. At Kaleo, she assists with retreat planning, food preparation and the guest experience—ensuring each woman is met with warmth, beauty, and the presence of God from the moment she arrives.
Lindsey lives in Georgia with her husband, two children, and a third baby on the way. Whether organizing logistics or baking homemade sourdough, she believes wellness is worship—and that God transforms, heals, and redeems when we make space to meet with Him.

She has a deep passion for guiding others into a more authentic way of being, rooted in her love for Jesus and the truth found in His Word.
